Modern tractors especially larger models using heavy and large rear mounted implements often need extra counterbalance front weights fitting, but this does not help with the problem of carrying heavy and bulky spare parts for the implement or specialist tools and equipment to allow for quick infield repair or servicing. The lack of carrying this equipemnt means making expensive and time consuming trips back to the farm workshop which may be hours travel away or the expense of a field visit by a technician to carry out often simple work but requireing tools which a normal tractor has no space to carry.
